I was mesmerized by their eyes. I would put my camera down and just stare into their eyes wondering what they were thinking (besides, get me out of here).

Lol, besides get me out of here. 🙂 So expressive. Great shot. I just watched an old episode of The X-Files where zoo animals were being taken by aliens but the animals were not surviving the returns to Earth.
