Yesterday, I met up with folks from the Plymouth Photography Meetup Group at King Richard’s Faire in Carver, MA. This is the 30th anniversary year of the faire and only my second time ever going. I’m glad the photography group had this scheduled as it was good to get out of the house. When I woke up in the morning I turned the tv on and started watching the programs on 9/11. It was overwhelmingly sad to rewatch the footage from that day. After they had the moments of silence for each plane that crashed into the towers I finally shut the tv off and headed for the faire.
When I entered the gates of the faire I was transported back to the 12th century, however, seeing the police officer in the background was a reminder that I was still in the real world and that ever since 9/11 we have entered into a new era. God bless all those who perished on 9/11 and for those who have fought/are fighting for our freedom and for the families and friends, of those loved ones, who have shown so much strength and perserverance.
