On Saturday, March 19th there was a “SuperMoon”- the largest full moon in over 18 years. I did not get this SuperMoon. Instead I went out on Sunday, March 20th to get the day after “SuperMoon”.

I decided to drive to the Scituate Lighthouse to capture the moon going over the lighthouse. I arrived at 7pm and noticed a couple of photographers standing on the rock wall. I set up next to them and we talked shop. What I thought was supposed to be a 7:30pm(ish) moonrise was in actuality an 8:30pm moonrise. While we were fortunate to have clear skies it was only about 32 degrees and of course being by the water it felt even colder. I finally had to go sit in my car until just before the moonrise.
