A couple weeks ago I attended the 2010 Top Pro Tour hosted by Westcott. At work we have a couple of Westcott lights which I use for video but I’m now trying to learn how to use for photography. What I liked most about the workshop was that instead of being just a slideshow lecture they actual had a model, showed us the various lights, how to position and use them, how to set your camera’s settings and then allowed us take our own photos. The thing I liked the least is that there were a lot of people so it was hard to get towards the front to get a shot. The top photo was taken by standing on a chair so I could see over people’s heads. Now if only I had the other 10 pieces of equipment they used!
