Girl at North End Park

This image was the fourth highest picked by the folks I tallied for an entry photo in Scott Kelby’s Second Annual Worldwide Photo Walk. It’s very similar to yesterday’s photo but framed as portrait instead of landscape. I find that I tend to mostly take photos in landscape layout and I have to remind myself to try turning the camera to see how the shot looks in a portrait layout. I liked how the little girl was leaning and looking at the scenery. What you can’t see is that she is drinking out of a sippy cup.

The curve of her leaning back, amongst all the straight lines and planes, is what makes the shot for me 🙂

  2. I totally agree with Shirley’s comment…this is a wonderfully composed shot, Jamie! I love your decision to go portrait-excellent processing as well. Nice!
