il Duomo di Amalfi

These were some of the artifacts that were in the church from yesterday’s photo. I had brought home a pamphlet about the church and when I went to open it to find some information to write for this blog I discovered it’s all in Italian. So, I’ve got nothing as far as history to write for this post. I found the first photo very intesting with the heads removed from the people. I wish I knew the story behind it but I assume the person was disowned by the church. The statue caught my eye because of how old and delicate it looked yet it’s still standing all these years later. Plus the detail is wonderful.
