Yesterday, marked the first annual, One Boston Day. “This day will be a celebration of the resiliency, generosity, and strength of the people that make Boston the great city it is.” I’m still not sure why they named it One Boston Day and not Boston Strong Day.
I was walking to work yesterday and didn’t realize they were holding a ceremony at the site of each bomb explosion. I stopped to pay my respects and took just a couple photos to mark the occasion.
The man in the cowboy hat is Carlos Arredondo. On the day of the bombing he jumped into action and helped save Jeff Bauman who lost both his legs. The person you can’t see in the photo, surrounded by all the media, is Jeff Bauman.
