After the bamboo forest we had another stretch to climb and then we were were in sight of the Mahahiku Falls. While there were plenty of areas where we had to hike through mud I was pleasantly surprised (and grateful) when we came to sections that had boardwalks. What an amazing job they do keeping this trail maintained.
