There was a woman in the Public Garden feeding the squirrels. She called them by name and new the history of some of them (one had a broken jaw, another a hurt leg). She said she helped with the park rangers (she wasn’t one herself) and they would tell her if they saw any squirrels that needed extra care. Not sure how true any of this was but I was happy she was feeding them and it allowed me to get a nice close-up shot of this one eating her nut.
