Duxbury beach has been in the news the past few days due to a shark sighting. I didn’t get any photos of a shark, but while waiting for the super moon, I did get these shots of the Powder Point Bridge. According to American Profile: “The 19th-century Powder Point Bridge in Duxbury was once listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest and longest wooden bridge in the world. The half-mile-long bridge was rebuilt in the 1980s and lost its place in the records book.”
When I was in high school one of my classmates accidently drove off the bridge (I’m assuming alcohol was probably involved). She was lucky that two guys happened to be on the bridge and jumped in to get her out of the car.
