A friend asked if I could take photos of her Celine Dion Tribute band on Friday night. While I’m not a Celine Dion fan I thought I’d help out a friend and also put my new camera to a test. I have to say I’m very impressed with the camera! I bumped the ISO up to 5000 and there was still less noise than when I would put my old camera at 800 ISO. Even at such a high ISO, a lot of my photos were blurry because my camera lens is an f4.5 so it’s not a really fast lens. It would be nice to have a fast f2.8 400mm lens but they cost $11,000! Anyway, I’m very happy with my 100-400mm lens and my 70D camera.
The concert was at the Norwood Theater. The theater was renovated almost a year ago. They did a really nice job with it. The balcony for this event was closed off but I was able to use the space to take pictures. It was a perfect spot and I didn’t have to be worried about being in anyone’s way.
