While we were taking photos a few guys from the fire department showed up. Either they were just driving by or someone called to say that people were in the Simes House. They ended up taking a quick tour through the house, with the foundation organizer, and I overheard her say that some people in the neighborhood weren’t too happy with the idea of the place being restored into a community center. Not sure if this cracked window is an angry neighbor, bored kids or just an accident. However it happened it will be one of the easier repairs that they will have to make.
