We had a beautiful weekend in Massachusetts. Yesterday, I drove out to Saquish with my aunt and uncle to take some photos and check on the damage from the storm. We had a very high tide from the last full moon. The water came up very high and washed away a lot of the dunes. As you can see from these photos this cottage on the front beach has lost a lot of protection in front of their property. Let’s hope the winds change and start blowing the sand back to build up the dunes again.
This is how tired I am. I had this titled Corrosion instead of Erosion and yet no one corrected me…mom where are you?
Melissa
Wow, little by little it’s washing away. Sad, but still beautiful! I hope to be on the East Coast in August… and dream of walking that beach.
Jamie
Let me know if you need a ride from the airport. Hope to be walking the beach with you!
Melissa
I was going to comment on “Corrosion,” but I thought you did it on purpose and were being clever! 🙂
Jamie
I meant erosion but corrosion also gets the point across.

I don’t even have a connection to this place and I feel bad about the “erosion.” I’ll bet that’s a very pleasant vacation home with all the windows and view.
