Step 2: Peeling the apples. This is probably my least favorite part of making an apple pie. Although, cleanup and washing the dishes are very close behind. When I lived at home, my Mom and I would usually make the pies together. We both peeled the apples but Mom was a faster peeler so she ended up peeling most of them. In the end it’s worth the effort to have a homemade apple pie.
