Captain Miranda

This was the tallest of the Tall Ships. Unfortunately, they didn’t have their sails up but it’s still pretty impressive.

“The Captain Miranda was launched in Spain in 1930 as sailing cargo carrier, she was active in various trades in Latin America after World War II. She became a hydrographic survey vessel for the Uruguayan Navy during the 1960s, and in 1978 was converted to school ship or the training future officers of the Uruguayan Navy.”

  1. Wow, what a beautiful boat. Wonder if I could fit it into Cushman Pond…

  2. I think it would take up the whole pond. Plus, the dam would never be able to handle the water gushing threw it once the boat was set into the pond!

  3. Definitely a beautiful Tall Ship. Excellent shot would love to take a tour of this ship. Really a fascinating capture.

  4. Wow! Amazing how tiny the boats look next to this beauty!
