Trashed

Here we have the number one image that most people picked to have entered into the contest. It’s funny that this was so well liked when for me it was a last minute throw in. As I was gathering shots together I decided I should throw one in from the Haymarket area.

I’m not sure if it’s because the image is so busy that it wasn’t one of my top picks or what but most people liked it because of the busyness and for the vibrant colors. This was one of the reasons why I polled people to help me pick two images for the contest. Besides being extremely difficult to narrow it down to only two images photography is very subjective so I thought if I polled a bunch of people I would have a better idea of what might be pleasing to the majority. It was very interesting to hear people’s picks and why they choose those images.

Thank you to everyone who participated in my photo polling. I actually learned a great deal from hearing what everyone had to say. Whether one of my images gets choosen or not, I had a great time and more importantly I got at least a weeks worth of images for the blog. I’ll end up posting more in the future.

  1. Perfect title and how unusual it is to see such a chaotic mess at an open market! Great find and capture that makes for a really interesting image.

I know exactly what it smells like there – and in the summer, not especially a sweet aroma! BTW, I want to be a poll-member next time, please?

  3. Melissa, so sorry I left you out of the poll. I wasn’t planning on having a poll but I was having such a hard time picking 2 images that I started asking people at work and family for their opinions. I’ll make sure to include you next time. Hope all is well with you.

  4. I am glad you got some valuable input from your blog… which is one of purposes of blogging in the first place!
