The Graduate

My nephew, Jared is graduating from high school tomorrow. I am so proud, happy and excited for him. He is such an amazing, beautiful, young man. Add to that, he's also very handsome!

Some words of advice Pal, as you head off to college and through life.

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are."
e.e. cummings

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
Dr. Seuss

Just be true to yourself Jared and you will be successful in life.

Congratulations!

I Love you.

Photo: This was my first  and so far only attempt at shooting a senior portrait. I'm sure in 3 years when Josh graduates I'll be taking another one!  It's amazing that it was last August when we took this photo. Jared looked so grown up back then and today he looks even more so. I know I'm getting old when I can't help but say "I can't believe he's all grown up." or "I can remember the day he was born as if it was yesterday."  It's been an absolute pleasure watching him grow from a baby, to an adolescent and now into a young man. I'm really looking forward to watching this next stage of his life.

Congratulations to Jared, all your extended family, and to you, auntie!!!
    It’s a wonderful portrait.

  2. I can’t believe it either Jamie. Seems like it was just yesterday I was bringing him to his first t-ball practice. Now he’s driving, working, graduating high school and getting ready to head off to college. Where did the time go?
I love you pal. Good luck on your next adventure.

Hey Jack, I probably should have given you and Melissa credit for raising such a wonderful young man. Although, I like to think it’s my contribution that helped shape him into that extra special guy!
    You done good!
