This is the Jupiter Lighthouse. It was taken from the dock at the Square Grouper: Tiki Bar at Castaway's Mariner (see yesterday's post). I thought it would be wonderful to go to the top of the lighthouse and take some photos. I knew the view would be spectacular, looking out over the intercoastal waterway. However, in order to go to the top you had to take a half hour tour. I just didn't have the time to wait and take the tour. Maybe next year I'll plan my time better.

We also passed this pretty lighthouse at night as we arrived and drove in from the airport. They have it lit up beautifully like a beacon of welcome to Florida.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lighthouse this color.
On a recent drive from Queens back to NJ, we noticed a lighthouse on top of a building in the Bronx, near Yankee stadium!

I was just searching lighthouses here on pixyblog and I just KNEW this was the Jupiter lighthouse. I have never seen another this color either. My parents call Jupiter home. Beautiful place. Nice shot.
