King's Chapel Burial Ground is the oldest burial ground in Boston. Even older than the more popular Granary Burial Ground (from my observation). While the two are only a block away from each other, the Granary had 3 times as many people wandering around it. Most of the time I was at King's Chapel I had the entire place to myself. That is until the guard kicked me out at closing time.
King's Chapel Burial Ground is the resting place of many historical figures, including John Winthrop, the Colony's governor; William Dawes, the “other” rider who dispatched to Lexington and Concord with Paul Revere; Mary Chilton, the first woman to step off the Mayflower and others.
