This macro lens has a great depth of field. I love how the buds in the front can be in focus and the buds that are only an inch away are out of focus. Although, I will tell you I had a difficult time keeping the subject in focus. Any small movement on my part threw it out of focus. I mostly had to shoot in manual focus to get the effect I wanted.
