Mom and Dad have a friendly snake that lives in the front area outside the house. Friendly in the sense that they try not to bother each other. Although, Mom is sometimes surprised by the snake when she’s weeding and he pops out of a bush. He even enjoys sleeping on the bush so that he can sun himself.

I wonder if that is a MA thing? My brother in law used to have a snake in the bushes in front of his place in Lowell.
We do have snakes up at the cabin, but they usually sun in the road (which seems very dangerous to me!).

I don’t remember the snakes sunning themselves in the bushes as a kid. They always seemed to be on the ground. I thought it was pretty cool that he climbed up a bush.
