Entering Plymouth (sort of)

It’s sort of like in Maine, “you can’t get there from here.” While Saquish is part of Plymouth you can’t get there by driving through the town of Plymouth. You actually have to drive through Duxbury, go over the Gurnet and then you are in Saquish (which falls within Plymouth property, Plymouth is actually across the water from Saquish).

I’ve always liked the look of the dirt roads running along the marsh with the lighthouse off in the distance. A sign that Saquish beach is just around the corner.

Happy Labor Day!

  1. Nice shot. Beautiful light.

  2. Thank you. I need to go out more and take shots as the sun is being to set because as you said the light is beautiful at that time.

  3. Great shot of this beautiful coastal landscape. Always find lighthouses and the surrounding countryside so appealing. This particular composition would be interesting to see for each of the 4 seasons. Nice capture Jamie.

  4. Wonderful light and what a quaint area…so New England-just love it!
