Twinkle, is that you?

These shots were taken at the farm on Elm Street in Plympton. Last weekend, Mom and I had gone to the cafe for lunch and then walked around so I could take some pictures. When Mom was a little girl she had a pet lamb named Twinkle. Anytime we come across a lamb she thinks of Twinkle. Although, I’m guessing she puts it out of her mind when she makes lamb chops for Dad. I thought the lamb in the top image looked a bit like a Twinkle.

They say, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Apparently, this sheep thought so. It’s funny that we were both wishing we could be on the other side of the fence. I was wishing I could jump the fence so I could get closer shots of the sheep. I was actually lucky to get these two closer shots. None of them wanted to be near the fence when I was standing close by. This is when I really wish I had a 200mm zoom lens.

Did anyone notice the nudist colony in the background of the second image?! I thought it was a little late in the season to be without their fur coats but it seemed as if most of the sheep had been sheared.

  1. Naked sheep=probable beautiful yarn!!

  2. Poor naked sheep…yes, I think it’s waaaay too cold for them to be without coats! They need to come south for the winter!

  3. Mom, emailed to say the title should have been:
    Twinkle, is that ewe?
Very clever. I wish I had thought of it.
