Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you all are spending this day with loved ones. Putting aside all the stresses of shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc., I really love Christmas. I enjoy listening to the holiday music, watching the Christmas specials and most of all spending lots of time with family. I thank God every day for the family I was given and that we all remain so close. Today it's a quiet brunch at Mom and Dad's before we head over to my aunt's tonight to celebrate with approximately 40+ relatives.
This is my nativity, given to me by my aunt probably 20 years ago (maybe more). I really like the simplicity of it. I took the photo using a flashlight for lighting. I had some bubble wrap lying on the floor so I put it over the flashlight to help diffuse the light. I pointed the light right at Mary and baby Jesus so they'd be in the spot light and then hoped there'd be enough spill over to light the rest of the scene. I think it worked out pretty well.
