This shot was taken in Scituate by the lighthouse. While I enjoy a nice boat ride I've never really wanted to own my own boat. However, watching this person sail by on their beautiful boat had me daydreaming. I suppose there's nothing like being the captain of your own boat…gliding across the crystal clear blue ocean without a care in the world. Well except for changing the rigging, rudder and dagger to make sure you catch the wind on the sails. Then trying to remember which is the starboard side and which is the port side. Are the buoys Red Right Return? Ahh, this is why I never wanted to own a boat but I would love to have a friend with a nice sail boat!

Beautiful! Makes me want to just sail away! Love the houses and the coastline in the background.
We’re heading up your way again in September to P-town for a week…can’t wait!

Thanks Susan. I wouldn’t mind owning one of these houses! You’ll have a great time in P-town. I look forward to seeing the images you capture.

Like the vivid colors! Background is perfect. Definitely belongs on a postacard!

Wow, gorgeous!
My first impression was that there was a surreal quality to the color of the water and something about the houses in the background.
Almost like Walter Wick’s work in the “I Spy” book series 🙂

What an excellent capture and framing of this shot. Love it, so evocative!

Thank you for all the kind comments. I must say it was an enjoyable day sitting on the rocks watching the boats sail by. Glad I was able to capture part of that feeling in an image.

This photo is one of your best. It makes me want to be on this boat RIGHT NOW!
