Happy Labor Day to all. It’s hard to believe that the “unofficial” end of summer is here. I kind of feel as if I’m at a crossroads. On the one hand I love the fall but on the other I’m never quite ready for summer to end.
While Irene didn’t really do any damage to the dunes at Saquish she did bring in a lot of seaweed. I started to take the front beach but as soon as I crossed over I discovered a car had gotten stuck in all the seaweed. Thankfully, someone was helping them out so I turned around and went the back road to the cottage. Apparentely, lots of people were having problems getting through the seaweed so the background was very busy for low tide (it’s mostly used during high tide when the water comes up to high to get off the front beach).
