This handsome guy was hanging out in the Muddy River along the Fenway. Typically, I have to go to Florida or out to the Berkshires to get a shot of the Great Blue Heron. It was a nice surprise to come across one on my walk to work.

Thanks, Shirley. I took these shots about a month ago and hadn’t seen the heron since. Today, on my way in to work, there he was! He must have known that he was going to be on the blog today.
