Dragonflies

Not this past weekend, but the weekend before I did a MeetUp with the Plymouth Photography Group. It’s been a few months since I’ve done one of the MeetUps so it was really nice to go shooting with a group of people. I mostly shoot on my own, even in the MeetUps, but I usually talk to one or two people and learn a lot from them.

We met at Tubbs Meadow in Pembroke, MA. I’ve actually driven by this place a few times on my way to take pictures of the swans but I had never stopped to see what it was like. The description for the MeetUp said: Tubbs Meadow is around 125 acres with paths that meander around old cranberry bogs and pine and oak forest. It is home to all kinds of birds, dragonflies, fox and other animals.” Our goal would be to capture photos of dragonflies. It sounded like a good way to spend a few hours.

I was very excited to try out my new 100-400mm lens. I think it did a pretty good job.

That’s cool that you got to see/hear them. Strange that they only come out every 17 years.
