Aunt Carolyn

My Aunt Carolyn passed away on Friday. She and I had been trying for months to get together for lunch but our plans never seemed to work out. I really wish I could have had that lunch with her. However, I am grateful that we spoke on the phone, conversed through email and even kept in touch over facebook. I had a dream the night before she passed that I was waiting for her outside, at what I think was a hospital. She came outside and I ran down and gave her a big hug. I think she came to me in my dream to say goodbye, since we never got to have our lunch together.

My aunt’s youngest daughter is only 5 days older than me. As kids I spent a lot of my summers down the Cape with them. I have many fond memories of hanging out at the house, going to the beach and getting ice creams. She was loved and will be missed. Rest in peace.
