Half Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies

What do you do on New Year’s Eve when a snowstorm hits and you decide it’s safer to just stay put and not go out? Why, you bake cookies of course!

As usual I ate way too much cookie dough, but enjoyed it at the time. My friend likes to call my cookies, Half-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. Although, these don’t look as half baked as usual. I cook them for only 5-6 minutes and then let them solidify on the pan for a few minutes. They usually have to go in the freezer, with wax paper between each layer, in order for them not to melt together.

With this photo I played with my new umbrella light and reflector. If the weather stays this cold (only made it to 18 degrees yesterday) I may not be willing to go outside and take any photos for a long while.

  1. This is making me very, very hungry.
I am a cookie dough fan also… usually eating way more dough than is healthy! But I never seem to care at the time… 🙂

  2. Debbie, I think I’ve eaten so much cookie dough in my lifetime that I’ve built up an immunity to salmonella! I’m sure it will catch up with me at some point but for now I enjoy the dough.

  3. How about FROZEN cookie dough! That is the god of cookie dough.

  4. As a Christmas gift from my cousin I use to get a 6 pack of diet Coke and a roll of the Nestle frozen cookie dough. A perfect gift!
FYI: I grew up only a few towns away from the Nestle Toll House where the cookies were invented. Unfortunately, the house burned down a few years ago and it’s now a Wendy’s.

Hate to torment you long-distance bloggers, but having recently tasted Jamie’s cookies in person, I can tell you they are even BETTER than they look! Perfect!!!

  7. Oh my goodness, these look perfect!

  8. Yum! I would love one of these with my morning coffee right about now! Nice job with the lighting.

  9. As Jamie’s cousin, I have had the good fortune of having a batch of her cookies for my birthday every year! I can almost taste this picture!
