Saquish Parade

For those who weren’t able to make it out to Saquish for the 4th of July parade, here are a few photos to enjoy. Banana Man was a big hit with the kids (and adults). As you can see, the group in the first photo was having a very early happy hour (before 10am).

The dragon was very cool. I imagine it might have been difficult walking up and down the beach not seeing where you’re going. They did have two people in front guiding them. My two favorite happened to be Banana Man and Colonial Guy (or is he Benny Hill).

While it ended up being a very gray weekend we still had a great time. I’ll have more photos of the weekend over the next few days.

Yes, it was fun. It’s a great little parade and there’s nothing better than hanging out on the beach watching them go by. Plus, they threw a ton of candy at us!

  3. What a riot! Looks like one of the crazy parades they have here on Tybee Island!

When I was in Savannah a year ago Feb. we went to Tybee Island. It was in Feb. so it was still a bit cold but we did walk out on the pier and took a walk on the beach. It was very nice.
