Macys’ Christmas Tree

I can hardly believe that today is the last day of November! Only 25 days until Christmas!!

Last week when I walked through Downtown Crossing they didn’t have the tree up on Macy’s building. As you can see it’s up and lit. I’m sure they had it up by Thanksgiving but I was lucky enough to have the Wednesday before the holiday off.

Dropped my Canon PowerShot G12 camera last night and now all I get is a blank screen/pictures 🙁  If only I had done this on Monday when they had a Cyber Monday deal for $200 off the G12. Now, to decide whether to get a new camera or upgrade to the iPhone 5 (which takes some pretty good pics and I planned on upgrading to at some point). I still have my Canon Rebel but it’s to big to carry back and forth to work. The G12 fit nicely in my backpack (until it fell out, that is).

Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll still manage to take photos for the blog 🙂

  1. Oh, no!

  2. I like this shot. And I am so sorry to hear about your camera. I am glad you don’t seem too stressed about it. One door closes and a window or two have opened…

  3. Shirley, I’m trying not to be too stressed about it. I’m bummed that I dropped it and it doesn’t work but I do have another camera. Plus, I know I’m lucky to have what I have when others have much less. I’m thinking of sending the camera off to see if it can be fixed and if not then maybe with tax return money I can buy another one. It’s a really nice smaller camera (yet still bigger than most point-and-shoot cameras) so I hope it can be fixed.
It also may be a good opportunity to get me using the Rebel camera more. I’ve fallen back on using the G12 instead of taking out the bigger camera.
