My cousin Laurel (my mom's cousin) passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012. She had been battling cancer for almost 3 years. It was very hard to watch her fight this awful disease. She was in so much pain at the end that it is a relief to know that she is in a better place. I will miss her dearly.

The inset photo of Laurel was one I took of her at her daughter's wedding in 2009 (she would probably yell at me if she knew I posted a photo of her :-). The sunset photos were taken on the day she passed away. I like to think that Laurel sent this beautiful sunset to show that she is now at peace.
